We have just returned from another wonderful trip to Italy, having used the services of Accessible Italian Holiday for a second time.

Once again, it was my husband Alan ( a wheelchair user ) and myself and we were accompanied by our assistant, Adele.

This time we spent a week exploring Naples and the surrounding area.

We stayed at a Hotel CN04 in Sorrento and Vincenzo arranged for us to hire an electric profiling bed for my husband, which was assembled in our room, ready for our arrival.

We were met at the Airport by his driver, who picked us up in a large wheelchair accessible van, complete with platform lift.

We arranged to do several tours during the week, which included day trips to: Pompeii and Naples, Capri, The Amalfi Coast and Paestum.

His driver was our driver for the whole week and he looked after us with great care and attention.

He is from Naples and so was the perfect host to show us around.

He speaks some English and with my little bit of Italian and a fair amount of sign language we managed to make ourselves understood and have plenty of laughs along the way.

He was always prompt and made sure we got the best out of the trip, pointing out great photo opportunities and finding the best places to park so we had minimal walking to do.

He also helped by pushing the wheelchair, so allowing us girls to browse the shops and explore the sights.

We particularly enjoyed the Island of Capri, where it is possible for wheelchairs to be boarded onto the boat at Sorrento, then to use the funicular railway at Capri and then into an accessible lift and finally a platform stair lift to take you right to the top to the main square.

Vincenzo stayed in frequent contact with myself and his driver throughout our stay to check that all was OK and I felt very reassured that we were in safe hands.

A lovely holiday! Thank you and see you next year!
